Gymnocalycium Species Variety Packs. Each package is individually labeled. Assortments include the following species, based upon inventory. Gymnocalycium accorugatum, achirasense, alboareolatum, altagraciense, ambatoense, amershauseri, armillatum, baldianum, bicolor, bodenbenderianum, bruchii, calochlorum,gaponii, gibbosum, heidiae, hossei, hybopleurum, intermedium, millaresii, monvillei, multiflorum, nigriareolatum, ragonese, reductum, riojense, robustum, saglione and others.
Acanthocalycium violaceum. (Syn: Acanthocalycium spiniflorum "violaceum") USDA: 8-10. Frost hardy to 25 F. Solitary to clumping growth, up to 2' tall, 6" diameter. Regular water summer; winter keep dry. Full sun to light shade. white to violet flowers. Origin: Banos de Zapallar /San Luis Argentina. HV 515
Carnegia gigantea (Saguaro). Sunset: 11-13,18-21; USDA: 9-10. Full sun. Heat tolerant. Little water. Hardy to 15°F. Grows to 50' tall. Native to the Sonoran desert of southwestern USA and Sonora state in Mexico. Seeds colected near Keary AZ. (approx. 10000 seeds= 23 grams)
Echinocactus grusonii (Golden barrel cacti). Sunset: 11-24; USDA: 9-12. Full sun. Regular water summer. Hardy to 24° F. Grows slowly to 3' tall; 4' wide or more. Origin: Mexico.
Echinocereus fasciculatus.
Echinocereus pentalophus (Lady finger cactus). Sunset: 12-13; USDA: 9b-10. Full sun to light shade. Heat tolerant. Little water. Clumping colony grows to 1' tall; 3' diameter. Origin: Texas, Mexico.
Echinocereus stramineus, Syn: Echinocereus conglomeratus (Strawberry hedgehog). Clumping growth habit to 2' tall. Can become a colony with hundreds of heads. Large purple flowers to 5". Origin: Southwestern USA, Mexico. Seeds collected from West Texas plants.
Ferocactus species mix. (Barrel cactus). An assortment of several ferocactus varieties, including: diguetii, cylindraceus, herrerae, latispinus, peninsulae, rectispinus, schwarzii, wislizenii and others. Ferocactus are one of the easiest cacti to germinate and grow. Nice flowers from yellow to red, and usually colorful fruit.
Ferocactus wislizenii (Fishhook barrel). Perfect seed for the beginner. Sunset: 8-24; USDA: 9-11. Full sun. Heat tolerant. Little or no water. Hardy to 5°F. Solitary barrel grows to 8' tall; 2' diameter. Orange / red flowers, large yellow fruit. Origin: Arizona, northern Mexico.

Gymnocalycium saglione (Gymnocalycium saglionis). Gymnocalycium are a globular cacti species from South America. Plants are showly and produce brightly colored flowers and have thick curved spines making this species popular among collectors. It's most common and native habitat is in mostly in Salta, Tucuman, Catamarca, San Juan, and La Rioja − on rocky soil with low vegetation. These seeds were recently collected from the wild near Ulapes / La Rioja Argentina.
